Jessica Louise Buthmann
Jessica Buthmann received her PhD in Behavioral and Cognitive Neurosciences from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center in 2021. As a graduate student she studied facets of prenatal maternal stress related to a natural disaster, Superstorm Sandy, and child emotional development. She now studies a range of factors that increase the risk of developing psychopathology in the framework of the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) Hypothesis. Jessica received a Young Investigator Grant from the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation to study the effects of exposure to psychosocial adversity and hazards in the physical environment on the development of psychopathology.
