Jean Rachel Bahk

Rachel is a research coordinator with the SNAP Lab. She graduated with distinction from Stanford University in 2025 with a B.S.H. in Human Biology and a minor in Political Science. She received the 2025 Joshua Lederberg Award for Academic Excellence in Human Biology, which recognizes the top 5% of the 2025 Human Biology graduating class. Her undergraduate honors thesis explored the associations between distinct types of early life stress, hippocampal resting-state functional connectivity, and adolescent psychopathology. Rachel plans to pursue an MD-PhD, aiming to integrate research on the neurobiological mechanisms behind developmental outcomes with clinical treatment of childhood diseases–particularly congenital heart conditions.
